Proposal: Snap Judgment

In the rule “Calls for Judgment”, replace “or if there is no hiatus going on, until four days have passed since they were posted, and if there is a hiatus going on until two days have passed since they were posted” with:-

or until 48 hours have passed since they were posted

CfJs are routinely timing out at four days, at the moment. It seems quite bad that if you want an issue fixed urgently, it’s actually quicker to put it forward as a proposal.

(I think the original rationale for the four day limit was that it gave genuinely contentious issues a chance to be argued back and forth, but that doesn’t seem to happen in practice. Have I forgotten something?)
