I think that they HAVE to be .gif. AND FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS SANE, RESIZE THEM! AHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now all that needs to happen is for Kevan or Excalabur to modify the Emoticon module to reflect the new images.

The new images are the same as the old ones, just suffixed with .png, not .gif

To admins: when a proposal is enacted/failed the new symbol appears. When voting, the new symbols do not appear. Just throwing that out there.

Why don’t we just continue to use .gifs, when there are clearly disparate bits of template and stylesheet (and ruleset!) that expect to find all of the voting icons ending in .gif?
