Add a subrule to the “Riddles” rule (if it exists), as follows:
During any period in which the Djinni is in the Lamp, at least once every forty-eight (48) hours, the Djinni shall post a blog post indicating which Adventurer (or Adventurers, as described more fully below) are the “Warmest” with respect to the Lamp and with respect to at least one other Relic (or more than one, if the Djinni so desires) that is not possessed by any Adventurer, if there be any.
With respect to a given Relic, the Adventurer who is the “Warmest” is the Adventurer whose Location (as of the time that the blog post is made) is closest to that Relic’s Location; provided that if the Djinni determines that multiple Adventurers are approximately equidistant from the Relic’s location such that it is not reasonably practicable for the Djinni to determine which of them is closest then they shall all be the Warmest.
If the Djinni does not post such a blog post within the required time period then any Adventurer may roll DICEX (where X is the number of active Adventurers) and post a blog post indicating the purpose of the roll and the result, whereupon the Location of the Lamp shall be changed to the Location of the Xth Adventurer listed in the GNDT, counting down from the top of the list; provided that the Location of the Lamp may not be changed again by operation of this sentence until after the Djinni again fails to post the “Warmest” blog post within the required time period.
yabbaguy:
May lead to parasitic behavior in the game where someone can mar the winner’s success by simply zapping to where they are (Transportation Rod) and then out-pacing them to the relic. Example: if one person figured out a clue and the other didn’t, but then picks up the correct answer from another person’s movement, and snipes it.
It’s feeding off of the leader’s progress. I hate it. I also don’t like the “lamp vanishing from under your nose” concept.
