I guess my question is, is this build so powerful that no counterplay can be developed? If so, yes, nerf. If not, and either a counterplay is possible or just the exercise hasn’t been completed to figure that out, then I’ll go against; strategies like this should ideally be handled within the meta.

Why are bots allowed to have multiples of the same system anyway?

For spikes, the easiest solution is to just move adjacent. It’s not possible to bump someone who’s adjacent since it counts as a shove. Evasion can also mess it up quite nicely.

Can’t wait to see the first build that’s just four Rams.

Honestly it’d be a bit redundant. Damage doesn’t wrap around to the next part if you do overkill damage, so 2 spikes is as good as you get.

I’d like to point out that Cow Catcher is pretty much a hard counter to the spike-bot, as if you try to move past it with Cow Catcher it will count as a shove and not a bump and thus you won’t be affected by the spikes, allowing you to easily end up adjacent to the spike-bot every turn without bumping it by attempting to move past it. Also evasion counters the ‘charging’ the spike-bot tends to do.
