State of the dynasty

Activity seems to have completely dried up so checking in to see if people have ideas on how we should proceed. Are there some wholesale changes we can make to make the dynasty more engaging? Should we just do some stuff to speed up to the end game and get the dynasty over with? Please share your ideas.

I really do want to engage with this dynasty but I’m being held back by two things:

1) There isn’t an “entry-level” action; if you want to take any dynastic action then the ripple effects are such that you have to understand the entire ruleset before you start, and that’s not the way I figure things out;

2) I’m not clear whether the objective here is to recreate Animal Crossing or go somewhere else with it, and given 1) above I don’t have a firm enough grip on the rules to start tinkering.

I’m not close enough to the game at present to solutioneer but those are my reservations as of right now.

1) I feel is a result of people still feeling tied to “only do actions with the villagers who are on my island”, which wasn’t really the original goal but think the ruleset kinda steers people in that direction. not sure what to fix

2) was never really the goal to recreate animal crossing. Just use it as a launching point for the whole “detached gameplay where you control other characters instead of yourself” mechanic. But I definitely think we maybe leaned a bit too hard into the theme and not the mechanic at the start and now are a bit stuck.

I don’t know how it is for everyone, but I’ve had my attention diverted to other things (not necessarily busy; my mind is just too occupied for me to properly contribute to the dynasty). I suspect the same has happened for some other players, enough to slow the dynasty a bit.
