Proposal: Stealing the Bacon

Times out 3-3 and fails. - lilomar

Bucky may, once within 48 hours of this proposal’s enactment, create a Competition that reads as follows:

A Scoring Comment is one that either is the first Comment on this Competition or results in a transfer of IQ under this Competition.

With the exception of the first comment to this Competition, whenever a Befuddled makes a comment to this Competition, if that Befuddled was not the author of the most recent Scoring Comment, he transfers an amount of IQ from the author of the most recent Scoring Comment to himself equal to the number of previous Scoring Comments.

When no new Scoring Comment has been made in the last 48 hours, award a medal to the author of the most recent Scoring Comment.

The Riddler may wish to do the first Scoring Comment to get the ball rolling.

I’m just interested in what happens when we get to 20 scoring comments.

against Actually, CoV - this is going to be spammy, and the “Befuddled with less than 20 IQ cannot comment to a Competition’s Post” rule (also introduced by Bucky) means that “I claim X IQ from you; no, I claim X+1 from you” locks your target out of the competition when they drop below 20 IQ. The player with the most IQ to spend (currently, oh look, Bucky) can just respond to every comment with “I claim X+1 back from you” to stay ahead.

except that you cannot gain or lose more than 20 iq from a contest per week, so that would be really tricky to do…

imperial It would be nice to have more competitions that weren’t basically ponzi schemes.

imperial This one seems to be literally a Ponzi scheme. A pyramid scheme might have been more fun.
