In “The Election”, replace “of the form” with “that contains the text string”.

@Cpt_Koen: if you’re worried about your comment not having registered as a vote, why not make a new comment that is “of the form”?

Approval voting sounds fine to me, and seems better than plurality voting.
I like approval voting more than plurality but it’s a pretty late change. The uncertainty means I don’t know what kind of ballot I can cast that I expect to be legal at Closing Time.
pokes: Yes, for instance, would a comment “I support X.” be a valid ballot despite the period? There are several of those already.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
