Declaration of Victory: Thanks for the guns, Brendan.

12 hours have passed, and the Mayor has voted.
Quorum of Villagers have voted, and more than half were in favor (15-0).
Hix is the new Mayor.
Hiatus continues until the Ascension Address.

Victory!  (See Rule “Victory”)

Special thanks go out to spikebrennan, whom I trusted pretty much from the beginning, regardless of my having made the game’s first lynch proposal against him, and to BobTHJ who convinced me that he was not a werewolf and could be trusted with a gun.

Several Villagers have expressed interest in another Mafia-like Dynasty, but haven’t specifically indicated whether they would be interested in the _next_ Dynasty being Mafia-like.  It’s something I would be happy to run, but I wouldn’t want too many of you to be bored; one of the nice things about Blognomic is how the gameplay is always changing.  Feel free to discuss in comments.

for I liked the mafia style nomic, but would personally rather try something different & get back to it another time. Although I’ll stay on regardless of the Dynastic theme. So I’m abstaining from that particular decision.

I think the ghosts were slightly underdeveloped, and could probably use some more thought in the future, if we do another mafia run.

OTOH, a ghostly theme for a dynasty might be a fun project sometime, if it hasn’t already been done…

You already know my idea, Hix.

I suggest taking a break from mafia-style—we wouldn’t want the concept to get old.

For the benefit of everyone who isn’t Hix or me: pretty much right around the time that Hix proposed lynching me, I emailed Hix and started to discuss strategy and information-sharing with him.  I reasoned that the odds were that he, specifically, wasn’t a werewolf, so I took my chances and started telling him everything I knew and found out.

Specifically, I emailed him, verbatim, the text of Kevan’s initial “You’re not a werewolf” message to me—I reasoned that if Hix was also not a werewolf, then Kevan would have sent the same text to him; thus my forwarding to him the text that I got should be fairly convincing proof that I wasn’t a werewolf.

I had a hairy back, but I got the barber to shave it.

I was the first night watchman and got two rounds of night watchman data.  (I was the source for the data that Amnistar posted, and it was accurate.)

I also forwarded all of my zahndwolf correspondence (which turned out to be from Brendan) to Hix.

Oh—I have to vote in favor of Hix’s victory, don’t I?  Okay,  for

for How about something that is not Mafia?

for Yes, a break would be good, and come back to something similar later.

Idea for a ghost dynasty if we ever do one: haunting a place. There’s a game Ghost Master that had a decent concept, you just had to scare enough crap out of the people to advance.

Personal taste: Anything in which I can write little stories I like (as some of my posts may have indicated).

Another note: I liked how, as Kevan said, this dynasty ended without much rules bending, though the ghost smithing was fun.

Grats Hix on winning. I tried to help out as best I could for our side to win.

I’d like something that everyone can keep playing.  I’m fine on a mafia dynasty again, as long as whatever happens when you “die” doesn’t prevent gameplay, being a ghost the whole time was a bit boring.  Also, most powerful proposal for this game I think?  Letting ghosts communicate with each other.  Once that happened, after 2 murders we knew who all of the werewolves were.

As far as ideas that I would enjoy, I’d love to do something that is competative on an individual level again :)

for As we everyone else, i say save more mafia ones for like maybe every 5th dynasty or so to keep them fresh. i had a blast with this one though (finally getting to the end of one without idleing out lol). Even if I screwed myself up with the whole aaron in the gaol mess lol

Oh and for the record i had a clean back since the start. I kept trying to kill that darn barber lol

for But I’ll probably idle out for a bit here—I tend to get into these rounds much too intensely (and then get snippy when I lose).  The Mayor’s story-bits were a big part of the fun in this Dynasty, so thanks for those, Kevan.

btw, how many rules did we make that we never used? lol i was the only howler since that rule popped up. thanks for the loophole to not get seen even in the gaol lol.

We never had any active criminals or a Master of Hounds, and the Doctor didn’t do much while he was alive. There weren’t any bite attempts, either.

And I’d be up for another Mafia dynasty straight away, Hix, but that’s only because I didn’t get to play this one.

Rodney:

18-11-2007 14:54:59 UTC

for Let’s wait on another mafia Dynasty.

Because of Yahoo’s tendency to lose emails, I never received any werewolf/villager confirmation. I eventually concluded I was villager after the first murder. Of course, it didn’t really matter all that much because I hardly did anything.

Rodlen:

18-11-2007 15:49:37 UTC

The biting rule was used in a way, though not in any real way.  Brendan’s fake biting notice.

Well, there goes another one.
Better make a start on chronicling the more noteworthy events of Zahndorf.
