As far as I can tell, being a Troll is pure upside (positive Equity you gain while Trolling still counts), there’s no downside to an incorrect Accusation other than locking out other Accusations, and there’s no reason not to vote FOR an Accusation unless you’re the Troll or trying to pool with them (because there’s no penalty for incorrectly voting FOR). So the likely gameplay from this version of the proposal is “the Troll is impossible to find and randomly gets bonuses from being targeted for Milling, and accusations are made pretty much as fast as possible and all get waved through”. That seems undesirable, but there’s definite potential here.

Is “any negative Equity they earned” the total change over that time, or the total amount they lost? (If someone loses 10 Equity and gains 7 during their time as Troll, do they get a detrolling bonus of 10 or of 3?)

“up to one Nomicer may be a Troll” is sailing very close to a “publicly tracked dynastic variable held by individual Nomicers”...

It doesn’t say explicitly that it needs to be privately tracked… I should add that in. But yes, it should be.

@ais The downside is that any negative Equity you have proactively sought out stays negative, so it’s a push your luck mechanic. Sitting back and farming Milling may be too powerful of a strat, but I think that might be someone else’s problem to fix as a balance amendment - I just want to get the mechanic stood up.
