In “Cases”, replace the bullet points

* Select the Winner of the Case as being whichever of its two Parties has the lowest Guilt (if their Guilts are equal, this is resolved at random); the other Party is the Case’s Loser.
* Establish the Fine as being 10% of the Worth of the Loser of the Case (rounding down)

with:

* Select the Winner of the Case as being whichever of its two Parties has the lowest Guilt (if their Guilts are equal, the Winner is the Defendant); the other Party is the Case’s Loser.
* Establish the Fine: If the Plaintiff is the Winner of the case, the Fine is 30% of the Worth of the Defendant (rounding down); otherwise, the Fine is 0.

The tiebreak is a good one, but zero money changing hands in half of the cases will slow the game down (even if it does make more thematic sense).

for I’m willing to give it a go—we can always add more ways for money to change hands.

The fine increasing to 30% doesn’t balance out the decrease in productive cases?

[pokes] Oh, I missed that. I’m not sure I like it - it’s just handing more money to the “lucky” players (whoever they are, who happen to be assigned first when rolling a new case) and no money to the unlucky ones.
