Would’ve liked to see a bit more engagement with the nomic side of gameplay in the second half of the dynasty. During all of october we had like 8 proposals, and a bunch of those didn’t actually change anything in a way that mattered (whiteout was too expensive, frog’s slide thing I don’t think was ever used. So it was really just a couple of proposals around freezing / thawing stuff that wound up mattering and the tweak to endgame to speed it along)
But still had a lot of fun with this one and hope others enjoyed it too!
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
BlogNomic is powered by pMachine ExpressionEngine.

The dynasty was very entertaining and well put-together, I thought. I honestly have been just too busy to try to take the time to come up with advanced moves on my Turns, so I wound up doing just the basic rotations and swaps. I didn’t see many angles to try to sneak in a scam in the past week or so.
