I’ll support this if it refunds me for my purchased traps (unused); I also think it should revert the two days of gains TyGuy will acrete in the interim.

Perhaps add language to remove traps from houses present past and future that are newly owned by the owner of those traps.

As someone who had his house trapped for no reason, Josh, I’m not especially amenable to refunding you.

I acknowledge your dismay, Brendan, but your proposed change in this proposal would not make my traps on your property illegal, so catching them in this dragnet feels a little like a needless sideswipe; should people not be allowed to tap your properties in the ideal version of this mechanic?

Either way, do give some thought to TyGuy’s RP gain; there’s a general principle, I think, that once an exploit has been spotted and a fix proposed then directly removing future gains is within the sport of the game. His gains last night I think should be safe but we shouldn’t let him have two days of hourly income out of an excess of deference.

Trapping my house that I can’t even use for this exploit, and no one else’s houses, was also a bit of a needless sideswipe, no? Perhaps you’ll just have to use your still-more-Bucks-than-every-other-active-player to buy new traps.

Why 16?

I can explain why I went for your house but I don’t really feel like arguing against your umbrage; I’m sorry that it hurt your feelings but I can assure you that it wasn’t actually targetted at you personally, so much as it was strategically the right move in context from my perspective. Nevertheless I’ll restate the question: my actions weren’t illegal under the proposed rule change. Is there any justification for punishing me for them other than personal grudge-settling?

Well, as the edit window is now closed, I guess I’ll have to go - this smacks of closing the door after the horse has already bolted, and just steps other players of a way to actual catch up with TyGuy. The arbitrary attack on my own position for playing with the rule in the way it was actually intended to be played with is kinda just icing.

Steps should be strips, there, and actual should be actually - phone fingers.

I picked 16 because it’s the magic number for this dynasty, as established early on by Mr. Curf.

CoV. Josh is right, though. 16 is arbitrary and removing traps for no reason isn’t very polite to their purchasers.

I’ll vote FOR again if a fairer proposal isn’t made that could pass, instead of this one.

Just to be clear, when you say “their purchasers,” who specifically do you mean?

Well, Josh bought 3x7 in traps, and I bought 1x7. And I don’t really care if you remove mine, of course. They’ve done plenty of work. Anyone else who speculates on traps between now and then could also be included.
