The safety is on

Am I correct in saying that according to the rules, guns bullets do nothing? Wasn’t there a silver bullets rule? Was it removed?

actually, I was referring to this But i was sure having a gun and ammo gave someone a chance to defend against a werewolf, but I may be wrong.
