Add a new subrule to Rule 2.8 “Spells”

Invocatio Tractus: Thriller Night
Difficulty Level RNY: 75 DIV: 10 LAT: 15
Effect: If this spell is successfully cast, the casting Student wins the game as he or she leads the bulk of the student body in a massively choreographed ritual dance that will usurp the Headmaster’s powers. Thriller may only be cast by a Student whose condition is “Alive” and may only be supported by any Student whose condition is “Zombie” although any such Student may offer support regardless of the Dormitory that Student lives in.

Dancemancy, or Invocatio Tractus, is some of the post powerful ritual magic there is, and this particular spell is one of the most potent and difficult to execute. It requires precision timing, an incredible grasp of spatial relations, fantastic costumes, and a core of talented zombie dancers.

(I really couldn’t help myself here, even if this spell gets shot down, it needed to be proposed.)

for I really like it, but it’ll need a patch as “win the game” is meaningless in this context. Predictably enough for a game of nomic, language when it comes to victory conditions gets extra-special scrutiny. “Achieves victory” would be the standard language.

Worth noting thought that this requires fifteen students with A+s in RNY to cast, which, given that it’s locked to zombies, means that it will probably never happen.

Or an innocent-seeming loophole that boosts your spell power, which is much more likely.

against Because, as with “Marvolo’s Challenge,” I’m really not interested in victory conditions that reduce to “gain lots of power, cast one spell.”

(I really liked this, it made my day.)

Still, against, per Brendan.

@ Josh. Of course you need 15 zombies. It’d be a pretty lame dance troupe otherwise.

I am also leery of the scam-tential of this spell, but like I said, it needed to come into existence, even if it is only to be slain in its nascency.
