1. Everyone’s the Watcher Dynasty. All players can veto.
2. Anthony’s Mind-Controlling the Watcher Dynasty. The watcher is forced to veto every proposal.
3. CfJ Dynasty. The dynasty is always in a hiatus.
If we had to play through one of these, I’d pick the CfJ Dynasty.
The second? You’d prefer a dynasty with this rule:
“The Watcher may only vote VETO.”
to one with this rule:
“This dynasty is always considered to be in a hiatus.”
or this one:
“During this dynasty, all Citizens are considered to be the Watcher.”
!?!?!?!?!
I thought of a fourth: Anti-Dynasty. The players aren’t allowed to follow the rules, besides the rule which says that.
For example, players may not make proposals, but may randomly edit the rules.
I would immediately declare myself the winner, then not bother waiting to approve my own DoV.
Well, number 1 is unwinnable. Number 3 is not much of a theme. Number 2 is funny.
Number 4 is broken.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
