In the rule “Items”, replace “The following Items have effects:” with “The following are the complete list of valid Items, each having an effect as described below:”
In the same rule, remove the text “or be an English language concrete noun”.
ais used the current wording to mean that you could put anything in as an Item, it just wouldn’t have an “Item” effect, so a Gold was added as an Item, then later it was spent.
I’m also amazed that nobody else exploited that – it looked like it had been added to be exploited, and such things have historically inspired attempts to exploit them in previous dynasties.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.

I honestly don’t know how “or be an English language concrete noun” wasn’t exploited more fully or how none of us noticed in the original Proposal that added it.
