Rename the player CallForJudgment to ais523.
I admit that I use the name ais523 in other nomics. That doesn’t mean that this name is illegal, though.
Some background: I use the nick ais523 in part because it doesn’t mean anything (the 523 is a completely random number); therefore, it suits the aim of a meaningless online identity quite well. Blognomic has “Call for judgement” as a well-known anonymous pseudo-user; therefore, it seems to fit even better here.
(Incidentally, many nomics have rules against naming players after game elements, in order to prevent scams on that basis. This naming isn’t a scam, and can’t be, partly due to the CamelCase spacing, and partly because BlogNomic doesn’t stand for that sort of thing; it’s just meant to be thought-provoking and slightly amusing.)
I would vote but I haven’t been deidled yet.
Umm, he hasn’t been added yet, so I don’t think voting on this CfJ will have an effect . . . yet.
If such a player exists at the time of enactment. Welcome aboard, though.
In order to keep things clear. He can petition to change his name to something else later, if he wants. Until this passes, I guess we know who CfJ is. : )
Or he could just start a new account and use that one instead, if nobody activates his CfJ-named request.
My against is also based on “CallForJudgment”.
Note that the player’s name is CallForJudgement.
CallForJudgment is the original anonymous posting thing.
Why are we forcing someone to change his name to some particular name? If you think the name is trollish (and I would agree), then we should just delete the account.
I think it’s just a bad joke, I don’t think it’s malicious enough to actually ban anyone.
We should let them pick a new name, though, rather than enforcing the one they were using on IRC.
