In the subrule “Odds”, replace the text “total of the Track Record of all Participants for this Sport” with this text:
total of the Track Record of all Participants for this Sporting Event
I think this resolves the issue that Josh pointed out in Discord
Good point. I looked back at the suggestion Bucky had made, which is what I had originally used for the latest incarnation for Odds, and realized that his comment wasn’t really clear on “this Sporting Event” or “this Sport”, so I had assumed Sport.
What you’re saying makes more sense, so I just now corrected it to be the specific Sporting Event.
wait I think this one is wrong
if team A has a track record of 5 and team b has a track record for 4,
this would give A 12:5 odds when really they should be 7:4 odds.
If you figure out the math and have a better solution, I’ll withdraw and re-propose with the fix.

No, there are two places where the rules have “for this Sport” where they should have “for this Sporting Event”. Odds Fixer only fixes one of them.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.

I feel like this is the wrong solution - it would be better if it was the Participants of the specific Sporting Event. But if you are going to set it to this way around then you may want to correct existing bets, which will have been placed under the current expressed odds, based on the participants of the Sporting Event.
