Proposal: Tight Bomb Patterns

In the rule “Altar of Mayhem”, replace “The Gladiator attached to a StickyBomb may fob it off on another Gladiator in an adjacent Square who has not previously been attached to that StickyBomb” with:-

The Gladiator attached to a StickyBomb (known as the “Fobber”) may fob it off on another Gladiator in an adjacent Square who has been attached to that StickyBomb fewer times than the Fobber (or, if no Fighting Gladiators have been attached to that StickyBomb fewer times than the Fobber, any Gladiator in an adjacent Square)

Poor Anduril has been stuck with the bomb a couple of times now, I’d say more by chance than misjudgment. This lets the Bomb go around again and again until someone gets killed with it, or can’t get close enough to pass it on.

against I feel sorry for Prince but open-ended sticky bombs would make the game go on even longer. As it is I like the tactics of the bombs; although in practice it was a bit of a crapshoot I made sure that I ended my turn within range of you for exactly this reason.

Wouldn’t this just change it so that you tried to end your turn out of range of the guy with the bomb? It seems about the same, in terms of tactics - there’s just less randomness about who gets stuck with it at the end.

against Among other things, this gives someone who has never had the bomb before an advantage over anyone who has had it at least once.

Something I’ve noticed early on this round is that dying actually doesn’t matter - apart from giving others frags. Indeed suicide is often a good tactic, as it can give you manoeuvrability and frags. So not too fussed really. Anyway I’m going on holiday for all of next week and I’d be surprised if no-one’s won by then, so I don’t really see the point of rules which will make frags less likely.
