Proposal: To quote Bob the Builder…

Adminned at 27 Jun 2012 10:59:08 UTC

Add a new subrule to “Machines” called “Machine Repair”

If the proposal “Factory Pixies” fails to pass give it the following text

If there are no Fixed Machines and Machine 1 is Broken it immediately becomes Fixed.

If there is ever a Power Link from a Fixed Machine to a Broken Machine and that Power Link is not part of a cycle, then the Broken Machine becomes Fixed and the power link is removed.

If the proposal “Factory Pixies” passes, instead give it the following text:

If there are no Fixed Machines and Machine 1 is Broken then any Worker may set it to be Fixed.

If there is ever a Power Link from a Fixed Machine to a Broken Machine and that Link is not part of a Cycle, then any worker may make the Broken Machine Fixed and remove the Power Link.

I’d argue this would create an empty “Machine Repair” rule, and change the text from proposal Factory Pixies.

As a more general concern, I believe all proposals using the present tense for “If Proposal X passes/fails, then…” would not trigger as expected, because Proposal X being older, it will have already passed or failed at the time the Proposal is enacted, and thus can no longer pass or fail.
