Add a rule to the ruleset, entitled Trial Run:
Poindexter may at any time create a new DEVA, then delete this rule.
It’ll be easier to see what this dynasty feels like once there’s some action going on.
Assuming Kevan will wait for the next proposal to pass before doing it so that we can’t spam Fire Posts
The combination of Special Features + Free reign to create whatever Josh wants feels dangerous. Couldn’t he add a DEVA with something like
“Special Feature: Add a new Core Rule that says Josh is permanent emperor for life”

I guess this should be worded as “create a new Bogey”. That is how I was thinking of it.

@clucky I don’t think this would allow me to create a new subspecies of DEVA, just a new individual
Err, . I don’t think we should have a live target until after “Ejection Backlash”.
That said, this is an elegant way to handle the problem where starting gameplay too early means people focus more on playing than on proposing, because it causes another proposal phase if things don’t come together during the trial period.
@Bucky Note that this wouldn’t bring a bogey in immediately - they would be scheduled to emerge from the breach between 24 and 120 hours after I active the provisions of the rule.
(I probably won’t rush if there’s critical proposals still in the pipeline.)
