As of right now, claims are orphaned. This renders triumphs unearnable as per 4.2.3 “A Participant may not take any dynastic actions that are contingent on the specific value of an Orphan Variable. “
It is an orphaned variable. Mutable Gamestate specifically takes ownership of variables that cease to have a definition, so as of now, it’s owned by that rule’s third bullet point but not tracked by its fourth.
OK – I’ve made a CFJ that’s effectively identical to this proposal, as I think this is the sort of fix that benefits from being able to jump the queue.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.

This definitely needs doing, although I’m not sure whether or not it breaks things – Claims aren’t an orphaned variable, they aren’t a variable at all. I guess that makes it hard to determine what the value is, though.
This should probably be a CFJ rather than a proposal, though? I think it counts as “something that needs urgent attention”.
