Proposal: True bartering

Self-killed. Failed by Kevan.

Create a rule called “Bartering” with the following text:

Any Survivor, as a Weekly Action, may create a sticky post with the word “Trade” in the title. The post is to contain an offer for a trade between the person who made the post and the person who’s name appears first in the post. Items with an uncertain flag may not be traded. The comments on this post are for counter-offers. As soon as the trade is completed or refused, it becomes a non-sticky post.

Just thought this may be interesting later on… This version probably needs some major edits.

against I like the concept here, but I don’t like the way it’s worded. The main problem is that it never actually mentions items changing hands (!), but there’s also the minor problem that the end clause doesn’t seem to end the trading session (it just unstickies it) and doesn’t seem to trigger on acceptance of a counter offer.

This is possibly meant to sit on top of the “a Survivor may transfer one Item from their own Possession to the Possession of any other Survivor” rule, and just gives players permission to make blog posts if they want to discuss a trade.

But we can already make blog posts, we don’t need a rule to formalise it. (And it’s unclear how “Items with an uncertain flag may not be traded” interacts with being able to transfer any item at will.)

well, the concept is that both people are required to fulfill their end of the bargain. s/k because of wording against but id like people to consider this idea.
