If the proposal entitled “Allow generic references” passed, append the following to rule 3.1, “Keywords”: A generic keyword in the Core or Dynastic rules can be replaced with its thematic synonym (defined below) by any admin.
These proposals won’t help if you want to replace existing rule text that contains the ungeneric words—you’d still have to state it explicitly. What about just interpreting proposals as if they contained the appropriate thematic words in place of the generic ones?

“Append” means “add to the end”, so nothing is “defined below”.
People who know BN’s history better than I do—we used to be able to do something like this. For a while AAs also changed the idle keyword (to stuff like Rotten for the vegetable dynasty). Anyone know when it was changed to only let you edit Emperor/Player?

Self-kill per Kevan. That’s what I get for writing proposals at that hour.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
