By the way, some chinese (?) bots are spamming the wiki with random messages/ads. If anyone knows how to easily remove these and ban the offending accounts, I’m sure it’d be greatly appreciated.
75th Trombone gave me the keys and locked the wiki to new accounts, a while ago. The spammers that remain are sleeper accounts; there are probably dozens of them lurking around the place.
If you look at the actual wiki pages, there’s a sickening amount of old spam in there, far more than we could deal with manually. If any MediaWiki wizards feel like wiping and reinstalling the wiki on blognomic.com (and somehow transferring the genuine pages across), they should contact Mr Trombone.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
