Add a rule called “Versions” and give it the following text
Each AI has a Version, which defaults to the median Version of all other AI’s Version. When an AI is Reinitialized, rather than being set to its default value, their Version is increased by one. The Limit is one quarter of the number of AIs, rounded down. An AI may not achieve victory while total the number of AIs (including the AI in question) whose Version is equal to or greater than their own Version AI is less than the Limit.
Remove the text “At any time, the Facility Head may Reinitialize an Errant AI whose Focus is a Monitored or Surveillance Location.” from the rule “Reinitialization”
Add the line “Reinitialize any Errant AI whose Focus is a Monitored or Surveillance Location.” after the line “Clear the Behavior Log.” in “Nosy Researchers”
If “Favours” is a dynastic rule, add “For the purposes of other rules, Favours are considered to be non-dynastic variables” to it
Feels like resetting should come at a cost. Blocking the top 25% from winning feels like it should be enough to prevent one person in a cabal from tanking extra hard so another can still get reset a lot but not be ruled out of winning.
Down the road, think it would be cool to add new abilities having higher version # unlocks, which means you actually want to get reset some but you need to make sure you don’t wind up over the limit.
lemon: she/her
oh, this is neat!! i’m planning on proposing some additions/modifications to the Reinitialization rule, so i’ll probably try to move that atomic action step around with my next proposal, but overall the idea of wanting to get reset sometimes is v fun :O
one thing is that, as it stands, the Limit will be three; that means that as it stands u have to be in 1st or 2nd place in terms of version # to win the dynasty, and that seems like a very harsh restriction
