Self-killed, failed by Angry Grasshopper.

Add a new rule to the ruleset entitled “Last One Standing” with the following text:

If at any time, one and only one monk fulfills all of the following conditions:
1)E is neither in the Infirmary nor at A-12e (the detention cell)
2)E has an Integrity of at least 10
3)E has a positive Temporary Fitness
4)Eir Station is neither Heaven nor Hell
5)E is not the Abbot

then e has acheived Victory.

Doesn’t seem very… monastic to me. Although I like the last man standing clause, but with the Guards all about, you’d think this sort of thing wouldn’t work so well.

But see my latest Cipher, if you’re in to that.

Hurrah, a possible victory condition.  Gets my vote.  However, we need to consider how this interacts with idle monks.

Nothing personal but I don’t really like the last monk standing idea either.  This could be (and I think has been) the victory condition in any number of dynasties.

“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all”
Ecclesiastes 9:11
