Proposal: Victory Raffle

Add a new dynastic rule to the ruleset. Call it “Team Victory” and give it the following text:

When the Poindexter determines that a dynastic rule has Awarded a Crown to a Corporation, the Poindexter shall choose a random Pilot whose Affiliation was that Corporation when the Crown was Awarded. The selected Pilot achieves victory, and the Poindexter shall make a blog post announcing it.

If a Crown is Awarded to a Corporation, but there is no Pilot whose Affiliation was that Corporation when the Crown was Awarded, nobody achieves victory as a result of that Crown.

Because if I weren’t already in a corporation already, I’d want to optimize my chances by joining the corporation with the least members to optimize chances of winning if my corporation was Crowned

Raven1207, we don’t have a Crowning mechanism yet, but I would assume that a corporation with multiple members would have an easier path to being Crowned than one in which one member has to do everything.

It’s the “Poindexter shall choose a random Pilot whose Affiliation was that Corporation when the Crown was Awarded. The selected Pilot achieves victory” thing I’m talking about. If I really wanted to win, I would want my corporation small to have more higher odds.

Yes, but presumably whatever conditions there will he to achieve a Crown will be easier the more people you have in your corporation. The idea is that if you have a very small corporation you are more likely to win if you get the Crown, but less likely for your corporation to actually get it, while if you are in a large corporation it is less likely for you to win if you get the Crown, but more likely that your corporation will get it.
