We apologise for the delay, and any inconvenience caused

I’d just like to say that I’m sorry for not starting the next dynasty yet. I’m a little exhausted, having a few problems with my RL sleep patterns, and I’ve tried a couple of times to write the start of the dynasty and not really managed it. I may be able to start it in the next couple of days, but maybe not.

If people think this is unreasonable, and it may well be, I’d be happy to pass the mantle to some Emperor who has more time than me to run a dynasty, and hold the theme back for another time.

I think I can wait, although I certainly wouldn’t mind taking up the mantle if you would prefer to pass it on.

If you think it’ll be a couple of days and then you can run the dynasty I think we can wait. If you think it’ll be hard to keep running the dynasty, pass it off.

*still wants to redo his monkey dynasty to completion at some point, but its close enough to the most recent dynasty that we should do a different one for now*

After all that, you weren’t ready to run a dynasty?

Some people play a dynasty to win Bucky, not to be able to run the next dynasty

Maybe knock out an ascension address and throw us a “Trusted Player X may veto proposals; the Emperor may repeal this rule at any time” proposal? A dynasty with a light-touch Emperor isn’t such a bad thing. Although if you had an Emperor-heavy base mechanic in mind, I’d be happy to do the heavy lifting until you got your mojo back.

We just had a dynasty with a light-touch Emperor. Time for something different, perhaps.

I mean light-touch in the sense of not pushing any particular mechanics or flavour too strongly, and of not voting down proposals which go against the (stated or unstated) vision of the Emperor. The last dynasty seemed to have a fair amount of that in the first half, even if you went a bit quiet once the ruleset engine was up and running.

I stopped after about the first week, maybe the second; I wanted to see where it went. After that the only thing I did was vote on occaision.

Yet one of those votes caused the difference (due to DEF votes) in a huge mechanic factor in the game.
