Amend the dynastic rule “Night Watchman” so that the sentence that presently reads:

“If there is currently no Night Watchman, the Mayor shall randomly select one Living, non-Werewolf Villager, and secretly notify that villager of their new status.”

is amended to read:

“If there is currently no Night Watchman, the Mayor shall randomly select one Living, non-Werewolf Villager, and secretly notify that villager of their new status, however notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this rule, if the Night Watchman becomes Dead by operation of a proposal or town meeting and not by a werewolf attack, then the Villager who made that proposal or called that town meeting becomes the new Night Watchman, and the Mayor shall make a story post identifying the previous Night Watchman.”

Doesn’t this completely defeat the purpose of having a secret Watchman?

Only partially, I think - this is really just a punishment (for the whole village, as much as anyone) for lynching the Watchman by mistake. As such, I think it’s bad for Zahndorf.

Currently, if the Night Watchman dies by any means, will a new one be made by the rules?

Chivalrybean: It should…

I put in a “shall”, to make sure it happens.

realized that this could result in a Werewolf becoming the Night Watchman
