Proposal: Welding Torc

To “Items”, add a new paragraph:-

Some Items are Cursed. Cursed Items have a Trait that they are drawn to: if an Orc meets the criteria of a Cursed Item’s Trait, and is not already holding that Item, then any Orc may add that Item to that Orc’s Items. An Orc may spend 2AP to visit the Shaman and discard a Cursed Item.

Create a new rule “Torc of Sleep” as a subrule of “Items”:

This Item is Cursed.

Trait: Failing to have cast a vote on the most recently resolved proposal, if it was resolved after being open for voting for at least 48 hours.

Affect: If an Orc with a Torc of Sleep has not cast a vote on a proposal, any admin may consider that Orc’s vote on that proposal to be DEFERENTIAL.

I recommend voting against this because it’s potentially scammable in a way that can modify core rules.

Potentially, but I think this in specific would be hard to break in such a manner, since it’d need the Overlord’s support?

And also, if there were like four Torcs lying around, the Overlord could just not vote on a Core Proposal, at least not until the Torc-ees cast votes proper.

I assume Bucky is concerned about permanent dictatorship scams here, where the Overlord proposes and enacts “Overlord MyNameHere can and will veto every CfJ and DoV”.

against No harm in reproposing this without that possibility.
