Proposal: Whatcha Gonna Do ‘Bout It?

Unpopular, 1-6. Failed by JonathanDark.

Change the name of the dynastic tracking page to be “Locker Room”

Add the following paragraph to “Duels”

If every pending votable is either unpopular or does not reference “Duel” or “Duels” then no proposals may be enacted and any Wizard or the Battle Master may replace all instances of “Duel” with “Bout” and “Duels” with “Bouts” throughout the ruleset and then delete this paragraph.

Hopefully addressing the “Duels” concern, while also not doing the semi-dangerous “edit pending proposals” step. Instead until this proposal passes, you can use “Duels” and everything will work fine. But after this proposal is enacted, you should switch to using “Bouts”.

“If there every pending votable”

Something went wrong in your English parser… ;-)

Sorry, are we taking seriously the idea that changing pending proposals is dangerous? Seems superstitious to the point of silliness to strain around it.

against Not sure that “pending votable” (without ‘matter’) works. I guess I also find “bouts” to be joylessly bland as a replacement term. But I think the real problems is that when this magical trigger occurs there will presumably be at least one Duel currently underway, and this would leave the status of that event very unclear.

Isn’t this relying on nobody using the word “duel” in any later proposal (even accidentally), and the whole process failing if somebody does?

@Kevan that is what the unpopular clause is there for—lets me veto stuff that stuff reference “Duels” after this proposal has been enacted so we have room to trigger the switch

@Clucky Veto doesn’t make a proposal unpopular, it just makes it eligible to be failed.
