There are, of course, reasons to not vote for yourself (one of the biggest ones being that if you weren’t in the lead anyway, doing so would be a wasted vote); but I have to admit you have a point. On technical grounds, I don’t see why this is adding a new anonymous dynastic rule, rather than amending the one that already exists.

Because the existing dynastic rule isn’t even numbered or captioned (and I didn’t know whether this would change before my proposal is adminned), so this is a brute force way of addressing that.

Because this would mean that anyone who voted for themselves would have their Vote become an illegal value, which is a violation of the rules.

But I suggest nobody votes for someone who has voted for himself.

@Kevan: the only plausible answer I’ve seen comes from Suber himself, who suggested that the only solution to the paradox was that the barber was female, and thus didn’t need her beard shaving.
