I’m afraid I may have to change my vote to AGAINST ... :(

Ok, basically here is what we did: 1st ais got OPOTATO on his bench. He cast POTATO to give DK OPOTATX, then we both did some idling to make DK NOI’s partner and me ais’ partner (We spent about half an hour duscussing it. Belive us, it’s obscenely complicated, but works). Then he manipulated his bench to read XPOTATO, and cast potato To give me OPOTATX from DK’s bench. I Manipulated this to read XPOTATO, and ais used POT to give himself PORT, and then used PORT to give DK XPOTATO. Then I use POTATO to give ais DK’s XPOTATO and then cast POT and PORT to manipulate NOI’s bench. We continued this pattern to change NOI’s bench until he had AOOA. He adjusted this into UUUU, and ais and I then manipulated his bench using our pattern until it read PROUSTTAU. I POTATO’ed this onto ais’ bench, as U’s can be recieved through the Doppelganger (POTATO), and he cast. PROUST. As I was/am his partner, I now achieve victory, via the the newly re-written spell Kingmaker:
“The spell Kingmaker has “PROUST” as its activation sequence. Its effect is “The partner of this Apprentice, at the time this spell is cast, may achieve victory at any time from now until the end of the dynasty, unless they are ineligible for some reason to achieve victory.”

Taken out of context, this would have been the greatest rule-writting fail of all time. OF ALL TIME!

I’m not so sure. As I read it, that would just mean that there would be NO Artisan. Since it could only trigger when an Apprentice had NO partner, the “Apprentice’s Partner” who becomes the Artisan would be no one… right?

As an aside, the similarities between this win and the end of the thematically-very-similar Cayvie 1 are amusing.

Incidentally, what I like most about this was the way that DC was hanging out in IRC, naming the thing and advertising his MPA (which as far as I know has no other members), even though he didn’t have much of an idea what was going on.

Sounds like the end of [every other Dynasty since DC’s been around], lol.

I’m flattered that both Unstable Runes and POTATO played such a key role in victory.  Both worked as designed.
