Proposal: A Chance Encounter

Enact a new rule, “The Signal”:-

D-Ops may trigger a Signal at any time with 48 hours of this rule being added to the ruleset. Upon doing so, he shall inform each Agent of the Codenames of any Impostors they share a District with. After this has happened, each Impostor will be relocated to a random District. After that, this rule shall be repealed.

A little grist of uncertainty for the Decommissioning mechanic.

against Seems like a very big advantage to whichever agents just so happen to randomly be in the same district as an imposter

[Fuzzy] I don’t think it’s a particularly big advantage to know the Codename (but not the Location) of a single Impostor. I just wanted to make people a little more careful about being Decommissioned as a result of filing a Final Report based on a fake tip-off, by making it 100% clear that at least three Agents will definitely know the Codename of an Impostor.

And it’s not entirely random - there’s some strategy in trying to get to a District that has other Codenames in it, by the time that this proposal enacts.

And I actually mean “100% clear that perhaps as many as three Agents will definitely know the Codename of an Impostor” - there’s a chance nobody will, but it’s enough not to trust every friendly piece of information you are given.
