Add a new Rule, “The Achievement’s Codes”:
All Rules that award an achievement should have an unique code on them, which shall be specified by adding to the end of that Rule the text “Achievement: ” followed by the achievement’s code.
Once a code is linked to an Achievement, changing the code cannot make a player lose an achievement.
A player cannot win an achievement with the same code twice.
No player may ever have an achievement that’s not specified by a rule.
If more than half of the EVC’s on this Proposal contain one of the following choices, specified by adding the text “Choice:” followed by the letter preceding the choice, the code will always have that format.The choices are:
a) A word that’s on the title of said Rule, chosen by the player that created the Achievement;
b) A letter, following the alphabetic order;
c) A positive integer, following the crescent numeric order;
d) A word that describes well the achievement, which will be chosen by the achievement’s creator and is subject to the approval of other students;
If a choice is made, the text “The code’s format is always ” followed by the text of the elected choice shall be added to the end of the rule “The Achievement’s Code”.
Otherwise, the code’s format is not specified by this Proposal.
If the Proposal “A Sense of Achievement” passes, replace “Each Student has a non-negative integer number of Achievements, tracked in the GNDT as a comma-separated list of the numbers of the dynastic rules (without the leading “2.”) which awarded those Achievements.” from the rule “Grading” with:
“Each Student’s Achievements shall be tracked in the GNDT by the achievement’s code.”
If the Proposal “A Sense of Achievement” failed, replace “Each Student has a non-negative integer number of Achievements, tracked in the GNDT.” in the rule “Grading” with:
“Each Student’s Achievements shall be tracked in the GNDT by the achievement’s code.”
This should help keeping track of the achievements, and avoiding some possible exploits of the achievement’s system.
Bucky:
. Only the rule “Grading” should award Achievements, and it should obviously be allowed to award more than one.
