Sphinx again? Somehow I doubt this’ll go through unless it’s Rostered.

for anyway.

Actually, this is no good. I prepared to Sabotage this mission early on (as Bucky successfully predicted), without thinking. I’m now trying to rescind that Sabotage, but apparently have no way to do so. (Nor, due to the “Knocking on the Glass” proposal, can I fix this via idling, another solution I thought of.)

If we want this mission to be able to succeed, it’s going to have to be Sylphrena / _Fox_ / Brendan. (Alternatively, we could just resign to it failing, or have _Fox_ Stim someone while he still can in order to have more available crew members. I wonder why he hasn’t done that yet?)

I too am curious about _Fox_’s lack of stim usage, but based on Kevan’s interpretation of the previous Alert, Roster Comments I post after the first one have no effect.

So. Well done on locking us out of Strenuous actions, comrade.

And yet people keep saying I’m an Android.

_Fox_:

Are you talking to me? Did I lock someone out of Strenuous actions? Isn’t Josh the only unavailable crewmember? Whom would you like me to stim?

Kevan: he/him

16-02-2015 19:56:17 UTC

[Brendan] No, I’m assuming later Roster Comments override previous ones, and processed the previous Alert on that basis. I can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t.

Josh: Observer he/they

No, ais is the problem here. He sabotaged this mission then waited until brendan couldn’t change the roster before telling anybody.

Oh, well that’s better then.

ais523:

16-02-2015 20:03:02 UTC

Well I had no incentive to tell anyone before the roster was changed.

Anyway, a) there basically are no Strenuous actions that Humans can take (especially given the Doctor debacle), b) I’ve been operating under the assumption that all the Systems are going to end up Catastrophic anyway.

It’s also worth noting that we can very easily determine _Fox_’s alignment if Life Support does become Catastrophic (and if, as I suspect, _Fox_ is Human, that’ll be a net benefit to the Humans). He simply has to try to Stim someone. If it doesn’t work (i.e. Kevan reverts it), then _Fox_ is Human.

[Kevan] Aha, I misread that. Thank you for clearing it up.

Let’s try this again. New roster: _Fox_, Sylphrena, Brendan.

_Fox_, to answer your question, if you’re going to Stim someone today, Josh would make the most sense if not for the fact that he’s probably an Android. (If you don’t share my assessment of the situation, Stim him.) Other sensible targets would be Sylphrena, me (although less so right now as I can’t help with this mission), and (in case you want to make sure you know which faction you’re Stimming) yourself.

ais523:

16-02-2015 20:17:19 UTC

for because this needs a command quorum as well as support from the people actually doing the mission.

_Fox_:

16-02-2015 20:39:06 UTC

“the Stim Dealer may Boost any Crewmember other than themself”

_Fox_:

16-02-2015 20:42:47 UTC

Why would I Boost sylphrena? Fatiguedness does not have any effect in the game that I see.

ais523:

16-02-2015 21:07:16 UTC

The more Fatigued you are, the sooner you’re going to need a Stim. It reduces the number of Missions you can go on before you become Exhausted (and being Exhausted prevents you going on Missions).

_Fox_, how come you haven’t voted FOR? Do you have some reason that you’d want the life support to fail?

_Fox_:

17-02-2015 17:12:46 UTC

for I did. Just didn’t realize that it was for a previous roster. And why would I want it to succeed? Don’t I want a lower clearance?
