To the rule “Flea Market”, add a new paragraph after the second:-
The Broker may not make an Offer on a Flea Market post that is less than 24 hours old.
We probably need to limit the queue thrashing, and I’d rather do it with a rule than by proclamation.
I’m sure there’s a better way to limit this. This idea will slow down the “queue thrashing” but will also slow the whole game down considerably because a lot of people are in a selling mood right now. I understand the need to reduce Kevan’s workload and clean up the blog though, but this will just turn the game into, well, slow-motion queue thrashing :D think about it.
OK, I’ve thought a lot, and I don’t see an alternative that performs much better than this. Does anyone have any ideas?
A big problem is that players in the same timezone as me (or at least who tend to be online during my windows of spare time) have a large advantage over players who aren’t, in how quickly and repeatedly they can search for and sell things.

BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
