Proposal: Deadpool, like a boss

Create a new rule called “Imperial Contraband”:

If an Adventurer passes the Priest role to another Adventurer as described in “Victory and Ascension”, a themeless Metadynasty begins instead.

So that you can’t “pay” people with fractions of a dynasty. All of the victories lately have been Pools, hopefully this disuades it enough. I’d like to avoid that this dynasty is the fifth Pool in a row, because it gets stale. Probably like my “,like a boss” joke at this point, lol.

Pooling is pretty easy and powerful in every dynasty with player-to-player interaction, for better or worse.

Have wondered about this in the past, but concluded the victory claimer would probably just make a proposal after the Ascension Address to pass the mantle and rename the dynasty. Seems unlikely that the wider group would angrily insist that the victor remains the named Emperor.

Maybe worth a try, though.

No, but the wider group could angrily insist that the Imperial throne remains vacant, no?

Actually, I think we could even create a rule that forces itself onto the next dynastic rulebook, if we wanted; “Victory and Ascension” says that “This rule cannot be overruled by Dynastic Rules as it relates to Declarations of Victory, but can be overruled in other matters”, and the Ascension Address is another matter – otherwise what is the point of that phrase there?

It’s a drastic solution, though.
