Remove the paragraph beginning “The Wheel has a Due Date”.

Replace “If the Wheel is Past Due,” with:-

If no Gambler has changed their own Wager, changed their own Hustle or Spun the Wheel within the past 12 hours,

Remove the bullet point “Increase the Wheel’s Due Date by 12 + DICE18 Hours.”

Replace “A Gambler who is not Locked-in may change their wager at any time.” with:-

A Gambler who is neither Locked-in nor Stunned may change their wager at any time. (A Gambler is Stunned if they have changed their Wager at least three times since the Wheel was last Spun.)

Dusting off the old “spin the wheel when everyone has had a chance to check their wagers” idea again, now that we have three Segments where there’s a significant advantage in being able to check the game two minutes before the Due Date and replan accordingly. Pokes and I both got caught napping by Trigon adopting Repossesses two hours before a 1am Spin, and the same will go for Bronco, Tiptop and any future Segments which vary according to how other players are Wagering. These seem like the most interesting types of segment, so it’s a shame that they all have this “if you can’t check the game at the next Due Date, consider avoiding” rider.

Limiting Wager changes to three per Spin, to address the “stun-locking forever” concern from before.

Why stunned? Why not force them to lock in their third change?

Same thing, I was just wording it that way to avoid it being a single, enormous sentence.

Except locking in has a secondary effect of preventing Segments from being detached, right?

Oh, I read that wrong. Yes, good idea, just didn’t occur to me.

Hmm, it’s not a bad idea, but it’s a bit generous with time. That being said, it’s probably a good call. for

I was echoing the current “12 + DICE18 hours” to get a minimum baseline for how often we’re requiring players to check the game.

In practice six or eight hours could work, but it would leave the possibility of a Wheel Spin at 10pm in some time zone (after players there had logged out for the evening) and if nobody changed a Wager overnight, another spin at 6am while those players were still asleep. If the first Spin hit Rising, False, Anatomist or Repossesses, those players might have wanted to change their Wager, and be worse off for not doing so.

against too susceptible to cabal-based lockout imo

That seems a lesser and more interesting evil than “avoid the interesting Segments if the next Due Date is night in your timezone”.
