The Duke of Waltham: he/him
[Action] And I conjure an even hotter blaze, which I direct towards the hideous head we used to call TyGuy. Kevan is next!
Kevan: Concierge he/him
[Action] I Shoot for 15 damage and Persist. Card becomes Vanguard.
TyGuy6:
[Action] I Fling The Duke of Waltham, and a charred tapestry falls down from a half-darkvoured wall.
The Duke of Waltham: he/him
[Action] I use Fire again… But I seem to be running out of fuel. Blast it!
Kevan takes turn as Vanguard.
Kevan: Concierge he/him
[Action] I drop my rifle and throw a full handful of gunpowder into the Fire. Card is Vanguard.
TyGuy6:
[Action] I turn my Green Eye toward Kevan, and he sees his own soul trapped inside it…
I use Terrifying Visage on Kevan, which I have both claimed and chosen, as required in: “In order to use Hidden Monstrosities, the Monster must claim them by privately informing the Priest what Hidden Monstrosities they have chosen…”
TyGuy6:
[Action] With the help of the now superhuman aura of Duke, Kevan deflected my first gaze attack.
I now turn my Red Eye upon Kevan, more terrible than the first, as though to draw in and consume him. He is paralyzed. Shall the Mage of Judgements once again reverse my unusual powers?
I use Terrifying Visage on Kevan, which I need not have in order to use; this paragraph says the Monster can perform it as a Battle Action, provided it has its effect listed as “New Action”:
“If a Monstrosity has its effect listed as “New Action”, then the Monster may have no more than one such Monstrosity and can perform it as a Monster Battle Action.”
Draw your chalk lines, then, while shaking in fear!
Kevan: Concierge he/him
What’s the ”Restoring 30 havoc Kevan took away by accident. I had +135, not +165, to be undone” wiki edit about? My edit was literally a click of the “undo” button, reversing your previous edit and changing nothing else.
TyGuy6:
I wrote “my bad” about that. Just a misread. I gave +105 instead of +135, then noticed the difference and mistook the source, at first.
card:
[Action] taking inspiration I Dual Slash TyGuy6
And The Duke of Waltham is now vanguard
TyGuy6:
[Kevan] Oh, my second comment didn’t show in the history, because it had no associated change. It was essentially just, “oh, no that was my bad.”
The Duke of Waltham: he/him
[Action] Definitely running out of fire now, spiritually and otherwise.
Perhaps someone less tired could make it work… Kevan is exhausted, and seems to have given up. But what do I see here? Reinforcements have arrived! And it’s… NoOneImportant. Well, it doesn’t really matter, though; every bit of help is important. Newcomer, you are Vanguard. Grab your Boons and join the fight!
Kevan: Concierge he/him
[Weary] NoOneImportant has been made Weary (since they’ve been the conscious Vanguard for 36 hours now, and the Monster is not Recovering), Duke becomes the new Vanguard.
The Duke of Waltham: he/him
[Action] Thank you for that dubious honour, Kevan. I think I know what must be done. Just get very close to the Monster, unseen… The closer the better, so I need to stop shuffling that leg behind me. And these vestments I’ve brought from the sacristy look pretty flammable… This time, even a small spark ought to do wonders, provided I stay close to the beast.
Card is next. If I’ve done the job well, the final blow ought to be within sight – provided Card can actually see in front of him, with half a face burnt off…
TyGuy6:
For a moment, the old prophecy rings in card’s memory:
“A full group of four
must bring ceiling to floor;
Your flame will strike true
When no one comes to you.”
You had thought it hopeless, had even considered abandoning the mission after the fourth teammate left! How could a full team have been possible without more help coming! But then… ah, your hopes are alight again, as Duke strikes his final blow for 37 points!
card:
[Action] I fire for 3, missing widely.
The Duke of Waltham is Vanguard.
TyGuy6:
[Action] I Fling NoOneImportant for 35 damage. Wouldn’t want to leave him out!
The Duke of Waltham: he/him
For reasons I explain in the accompanying text to this proposal, I believe that the above comment doesn’t have any force under the Ruleset.
The Duke of Waltham: he/him
Objection withdrawn; the rule has imperfections, but they shouldn’t compromise its intended function.
TyGuy6:
[Action] I Fling card into a glass case holding an ancient Roman vase. The vase shatters, and I gain a “1/35 Soldier”. I am subsequently fined 3 pounds and imprisoned, awaiting bail. Prison is unkind to me, and my body shrivels up further, but my eyes gleam the brighter.
