Proposal: Box-to-box

Self-killed. Failed by Kevan.

Adminned at 05 Oct 2014 03:55:51 UTC

In rule 2.10, “Method of Scoring”, replace:

any non-assisting defense player may roll

with:

any non-assisting defense or midfield player may roll

In case it is not obvious (it took me a while to realize that Bucky can score at all), midfielders can already roll for offense, by assisting.

If I understand the scoring system and proposals, wouldn’t this muck up all of the proposals to balance the system?

for Although I may be slightly biased. (Remember that if the offence does score then an offensive player can take my position.)

Teninten: I’m not sure.. If so, then the balance proposed must be pretty fragile!

against Midfielders will feel too much pressure to bandwagon with one side, probably the defense, so that they don’t lose their position of power and versatility. Interesting that this was proposed by a forward though, but I still think it’s unbalanced in favor of midfielders/defense over forwards.

If this does pass, perhaps we can change the rule that only the winner is allowed to change shirts to a rule where only the loser is allowed to change shirts, but all of a sudden that would be more like Roulette than a strategy game.

This counts as a s/k, right?

I don’t think so: it’s “when a Player casts an explicit vote AGAINST their own Proposal”. Even though the Emperor had already voted, I’m not sure it Eritivus’s vote would count as explicit (given that they’d have room to argue they hadn’t realised the Emperor had voted).
