In the rule “Acronym”, insert the following as the third paragraph:
There is a publicly tracked list called Assisted that may be empty or may be a list of one or more names of Wordsmiths, defaulting to empty. A Wordsmith whose name is in the Assisted is considered an Assisted Wordsmith. Each Wordsmith that is not an Assisted Wordsmith is considered an Unassisted Wordsmith.
In the same rule, insert the following steps just before the last step in the Acrogenerate atomic action:
* Set the Assisted to empty.
* For each Wordsmith who has the lowest Points among all Wordsmiths, add that Wordsmith’s name to the Assisted.
In the rule “The Word Bank”, replace “A Wordsmith may not post a Backronym” with “An Unassisted Wordsmith may not post a Backronym”, and just before the text “are added to The Word Bank” insert the text “that are not already in The Word Bank”.
If the EVC on this Proposal of at least a quorum of Wordsmiths contains the word “reset”, in the rule “Acronym” insert the following step just before the last step in the Acrogenerate atomic action:
* Set the Word Bank to empty.
Wordsmiths with the lowest points at the next Acrogenerate can ignore the Word Bank restrictions. Optionally add a Word Bank reset to every Acrogenerate if you add “reset” to your vote comment.
Lukewarm on catch-up mechanics generally, for being tough on the players who don’t quite qualify and get overtaken.
