Replace “otherwise, the Fine is 0” with “otherwise, the Fine is $2,000”.
Given that prosecution/defence is assigned at random, it seems harsh that a winning defence lawyer doesn’t even get paid.
Actually, this would still end in a net loss of $1,800 for any attorney who argued. Mayhaps you wanted it to be $20,000 so that attorneys would at least not be losing money? That’s the assumption I based my original vote upon.
Oh, good point. Either that or it should be “10% of fine or $2,000, whichever is higher” later down the list.
But $200 is better than nothing, for now.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
