If there is no rule called “Artefacts”, this proposal has no effect. Otherwise, add to “Artefacts”:

Bunk Inspection
An Explorer who is not Untrustworthy (the inspector) may inspect another Explorer’s (the inspectee, who must be in the same location as the inspector) bunk by making a Story Post (the Inspection) indicating so. The Expedition Leader may resolve any Inspections in the order they were posted by posting the results of the Inspection as a comment on the Inspection: If the inspectee is carrying no Artefacts, the inspector becomes Untrustworthy. If instead the inspectee is carrying more than zero Artefacts, those Artefacts are destroyed by the inspector and the inspectee becomes Untrustworthy.

There’s currently no impetus for anyone to surrender their Artefacts, but what if they get hot…

This allows any cultist to destroy artifacts and make anyone untrustworthy by giving them their artifact and inspecting them. I’m not necessarily against that, but since the transferring mechanism is one-sided, the transferree doesn’t even have the opportunity to react and probably doesn’t even know yet that he has an artifact. against

[Cpt_Koen] That’s untrue any Explorer can win by destroying Artefacts, it’s just that cultists have another way of winning.

I really dislike that this basically allows the fastest cultist who knows about at least (cultist-quorum - 1) cultists to instawin.

Also, if I read that clearly, an wrongful inspector only becomes Untrustworthy after the Inspection has been resolved; but an Inspection is legal as long as the inspector wasn’t Untrustworthy *when they made the Story Post*.

So any Explorer could just flood the blog with Story Posts indicating that they inspect every single Explorer. They will become Untrustworthy once the Inspections are resolved, but they will also have destroyed every Artefact (except their own, if they have one), and immediately achieve Victory.

against S/K - will fix it so that you have to be non-Untrustworthy at the time of resolution to inspect. Maybe do something else if the inspection turns up artefacts? Automatically destroying them may do too much.

@Pokes: There goes my scam lol. I had in mind to spam-inspect everyone, hence why I took so many supplies just now.

I’m not a subtle person lol. I should’ve played that better I believe (and not commit to taking so much debt until later!)
