Proposal: Counting the Days to Cook-Off [Today]

In the rule “The Final Cook-Off”, add the following text as a new paragraph:

The Prep for The Final Cook-Off commences on September 2 2025 00:00 UTC.

If the EVC of a quorum of Trucks contain the text “hurry up”, then in the rule “The Final Cook-Off”, replace “September 2” with “August 31”.

September 2 is 4 full days plus some hours, which is enough time for submitting more Menus and getting in one more Night, if that’s what folks want to do.

Conversely, if a quorum of Trucks is ready to kick off The Final Cook-Off without any more possibility of shifting who is in the Top 3, then August 31 would be about 2.5 days after this Proposal was posted.

Giving this a “[Today]” tag under “could significantly affect any Truck’s choice of Prep action during the current Prep phase”, since it’s proposing to pick a winner from among the top three players and those players would have a view on whether they wanted another Night to happen.

Based on the votes in “Cook-Off’s Off” I don’t think there’s that much appetite for this, so I’m withdrawing it.
