Image did not live up to expectations. Background is #F7EDE2, but image was #F7EDE3. Artist said there would be interesting compression artifacts but there was only blue. 2 pixel height difference was not visible but made for tight fit. Packaging was appalling: 218% extra filesize over PNG caused late delivery.

I think the one-bit shift in the blue channel (which was not intentional, and indeed a compression artifact) is indeed interesting, as I’d expected there to be no artifacts at all. (Thanks for analyzing that for me; I hadn’t compared the JPEG to the original PNG to see if they were different at all.)
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
