Defensive Bombie Clarification

After seeing Mideg use a Bombie in hopes of defeating SingularBytes Psychic Zombies (or maybe just to attack the ghoul), I thought I’d post a clarification (as a precursor to a CfJ, since as yet there’s nothing to judge):

The behavior of Bombie is,

Moves at most three squares to the left, stopping if it meets any object or zombie, and then explodes, regardless of where it stopped.

Also see,

If, at any time while a Zombie is Shambling, the Zombie moves or teleports to a Square that contains a Crop or Shed or if the Zombie is on a Square that contains a Crop or Shed when it starts Shambling, that Zombie attacks that Crop or Shed then stops Shambling unless its Powers or Behavior explicitly states otherwise.

Obviously the Bombie explicitly states otherwise about what happens when it moves to a Square containing a Crop or a Zombie.  However, the following conditions may apply:

1.  A Bombie must “meet” an object or zombie while moving, so the square it is currently on does not count.  Thus, a bombie cannot explode on the right-most column.
2.  If you agree with #1, it further follows that a Bombie cannot move while it is on a Square containing a Crop, and will instead immediately stop its behavior in order to attack that crop.

Thoughts?

I would say that “meets” implies a new event, as with the second quote you gave. The bombie ignore anything on the square it’s on.

That said, I think that bombies don’t work except against zombies since if they move onto a square containing a crop or shed, they immediately attack stop shambling, meaning they never get to the explode part of the shamble.

@coppro: I would say bombies still work on crops, as I consider “stopping if it meets any object” to be explicitly overriding the “stop shambling” part of the behavior.

Actually I think it might be time for a CfJ because Bucky has done exactly the same thing, and he’s actually ended up killing them.

Bucky has done something else. He cleared the appropriate row with his first bombie, making the psychics move by themselfs (he shambled them because SingularByte had not done so for a time), and then used the 2nd bombie, circumventing the problem.

Actually, I used wictionary to check up on ‘meet’. While most definitions support your #1, one of them actually says ‘meet’ means ‘to be physically touching’. Thus I concluded that it would be legal to try it this way.

I understand that this is kind of, how do I say it, picky, maybe? So I’d understand if the majority disagrees here and agrees with your #1 and #2.

I agree with aguydude regarding the ‘broken bombie’-discussion. I will post a bombie-correction. :-)
