Proposal: Doctor Who?

Illegal under Rule 1.7 (“A non-official post may not, through editing of the blog or otherwise, be changed into an official post”) - it was proposed without a category, and already had one comment by the time it was recategorised.—Kevan

Create a new subrule in the rule Occupations named Doctor. Set its text to the following:

If a villager is the Doctor, e may secretly tell the mayor of a villager who is their target. If their target would otherwise have been killed by a werewolf attack, the doctor instead saves the villager from death. The Doctor may not target the same villager more than two nights in a row.

Fixes the multiple doctor problem, as well as the invincible mode bug. Next: Should the survival from death be noted publicly as the doctors doing? In normal mafia it’s obvious, here, with multiple werewolves (who seem to be communicating well), it might be less apparent.

not a proposal, but that means I can make this comment:

There is no statute that limits the number of doctors, so everyone could become a doctor and protect everyone else.

Choosing a profession already has a clause against “those already taken by other Villagers”.

If you aren’t sure whether or not a doctor’s work should be publicly announced or kept secret, you should at least propose one or the other as a starting position, otherwise people are going to have to guess the Mayor’s interpretation when voting.
