ExpressionEngine templates

I’ve been getting my feet wet with ExpressionEngine, and have made a tweak to “blognomic/head” (which only seems to be used by the “archive” pages?) so that the title of the post comes up in the <title> tag, the lack of which has been niggling at me for a while.

I can’t seem to fix the RSS feed, though, which refuses to parse “{summary}” or “{body}” and just shows them as exactly that, in the output. Could someone with a better understanding of EE say what’s going on here?

Oh, wait, the front page uses blognomic/head as well, but because both the front page and head templates include a <title> tag, the earlier one takes precedence.

The HTML’s pretty sketchy here, with <head> and <body> tags being jumbled around a lot - any objections if I wade in at some point, or is this all intentionally precarious and the only way to get things to work?

Could you fix the fact that any CfJ over 99 hours old receives a sidebar display of “2 days old”?

Kevan: go nuts.

They /were/ well organised when we first made the switch, but got less-so.

The entirety of the sidebar should be in sidebar, and the header should be in head, and so on.
